Robin wanted was to stay at home in Misty Creek Canyon with her
husband, Deputy Lee Kellerman. But Sheriff Hastings has retired,
and Lee is the only one suited to fill his shoes. When Brigit Smades,
a young geologist, reveals that her boarding house was broken into
by two intruders, Robin and Lee delve into the case and discover a
dead man at Brigit's place. Meanwhile, Brigit claims her notebook
containing the records of Gold Fox Mine and some valuable nuggets
of gold have been stolen. As the mystery unfolds, Robin and Lee
realize there's something more to the Gold Rush Boardinghouse.

ties everything up with a neat bow. I found it very satisfying. If
sleuth mysteries featuring a lively cast of characters are your thing,
